Office Hours & Appointments
Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. We schedule patients from 8:00 am to 4:20 pm. Our telephone hours are from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Call early for same day illness appointments.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Sunshine Pediatric Partners follows the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics which recommends routine well child visits starting at birth through the first 2 1/2 years of life. Starting at 3 years of age it is recommended that all children have annual physicals. Plan to make your well child appointments six to eight weeks in advance. Try and schedule your re-check appointments at the desk as you are checking out. Please specify if you want your appointment scheduled with a specific practitioner.
If you are going to be late for an appointment, we ask that you contact the office. If you are late for your appointment, we may reschedule your well child appointment for another time. We will make every effort to see you at your scheduled time. However, if there is a delay, please realize it is because a patient is unexpectedly in need of a little extra time.
If you need to cancel an appointment we request 24 hours notice.
Nighttime & Weekend Coverage
Telephone calls after hours are answered by our Physician Answering Service and transferred to a Physician or Nurse Practitioner on-call.

Emergencies
For a life threatening emergency please call 911.
If your child needs to be seen at the Emergency Care Center please contact us at 989-793-1202 or after hours at 989-583-2355 for authorization. Our physicians are on staff at Covenant Healthcare and we request you to use the Covenant HealthCare Emergency Care Center, if possible.
If your child is acutely ill, and the office is closed, please call 989-583-2355 and speak with one of our on-call practitioners. They will be able to direct you to a Med Express facility if needed. If the office is open, we will usually be able to see the child the same day. Please try and contact the office as early in the day as possible to make an illness appointment.
It is best not to use the emergency room for routine medical problems which could be handled during regular office hours, since we are familiar with your child’s history.
Insurance and Billing
We accept most traditional insurance plans. Please contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan.

Payment is requested at the time services are rendered for any charges not covered by insurance, or any deductibles and/or co-pays. The staff will be happy to assist you if you have any questions regarding insurance and billing. We consider both parents/guardians responsible for the bills incurred.
Specialist Appointments & Referrals
Our office needs to be notified of all specialist appointments that need a referral at least 1 week before the appointment. This will allow time to do the referral and notify the specialist of the referral number. We will not back date any referrals. If you see a specialist and do not call ahead of time or forget to call for the referral, you will be responsible for the bill with the specialist.
